Who we are

CurrencyCentral is an independent project at currencycentral.com. We publish a daily ECB reference converter, named currency-pair pages, business FX guides, and an optional MCP catalog for agents. We are not a bank, broker, money transmitter, or trading desk.

What this site is

The public product is a static website. Conversions run in your browser. Rates come from the European Central Bank daily reference series via the open Frankfurter API. There is no account, no signup, and no login.

Information we do not collect

The current site does not:

• Create user accounts or store a profile
• Ask for payment details
• Keep a server-side log of the amounts or pairs you convert
• Run a first-party product-analytics script (no Google Analytics, no marketing pixels)
• Load advertising networks or AdSense on these pages

What stays in your browser

The converter, currency-pair cards, and recent-range view fetch ECB midpoints from api.frankfurter.dev and keep a one-hour copy in localStorage so repeat visits do not refetch immediately. That cache is on your device. We cannot read it. Clearing site data or using a private window removes it.

Educational tax-literacy worksheets under /tax/ (a preview hub, not in the main navigation) also run in the browser. They are not saved to a CurrencyCentral server. If we ever attach analytics to that hub, the code is written to record only a named event — not amounts, rates, or balances.

Contact form

The on-site contact form is unwired and does not currently accept submissions. No live form ID is configured, so nothing you type there is delivered to a CurrencyCentral inbox, and no form provider — including Formspree — processes those fields today. Email hello@currencycentral.com instead.

We use that mail to reply. We do not sell it or add it to a newsletter list.

Analytics and other third parties actually present

This policy covers services the current site actually uses — not a list of products we might add later. If that set changes, we will update this page.

• Cloudflare. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP address, user agent, timestamps, and request URLs to deliver pages, absorb abuse, and run bot protection. You may see a brief security check. Cloudflare may set a security cookie for that check. Cloudflare also operates standard network-error reporting for its own infrastructure. That is hosting and security, not a CurrencyCentral product-analytics dashboard in our page templates.
• Frankfurter / ECB. Your browser requests public reference rates from the Frankfurter API. Frankfurter (and the network path to it) can see that a client asked for a rate. We do not send your name or invoice amounts with those requests.
• Google Fonts. Page templates load IBM Plex Mono, IBM Plex Sans, and Newsreader from Google Fonts. Google may see the font request from your browser.

We do not embed social pixels, session replay, or advertising tags in the current templates. An unused AdSense helper exists in the repository for a possible later monetization pass; it is not loaded on the live pages.

Cookies

CurrencyCentral does not set first-party tracking cookies. Rate history uses local storage, not a cookie. Any cookies you do see are likely from Cloudflare's security check, not from a CurrencyCentral analytics product.

Children

The site is a business reference tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

How long we keep contact mail

Messages you send stay in the inbox long enough to reply and, if needed, to keep a short record of the request. You can ask us to delete a message you sent by emailing hello@currencycentral.com.

Changes

If we add a first-party analytics product, advertising, accounts, a live contact-form processor, or another service that changes this picture, we will revise this page and update the effective date.
